Santa Social Run
We’re Scaling Up: Santa Social Run Becomes a Nationwide Running Event
This year, in close collaboration with Runacademy, we’re creating Santa Social Run! In addition to the two physical races in Stockholm and Sundsvall, Runacademy will organize local Social Runs across the country, where people of all ages can take part, whether they are experienced runners or complete beginners.
To spread Christmas cheer and get people moving in communities across Sweden at the same time, Runacademy will bring together participants nationwide on Sunday, December 6 at 11:00 AM. So grab your Santa hat, Santa suit, or other festive attire and join us for a Christmas-themed Social Run!
About Runacademy
Runacademy is one of Sweden’s largest running communities, dedicated to spreading the joy of running through knowledge, inspiration, and a strong sense of community. Runacademy has running groups led by dedicated coaches in more than 100 locations across Sweden and also offers digital training. The groups welcome runners of all levels and ambitions, from complete beginners to experienced runners.
Our Social Runs
Everyone is welcome. You can walk, jog, or run. What matters is taking part, having fun together, and contributing to something bigger at the same time.
Participation in a Social Run is free of charge. Donations are made via Swish on-site during each Social Run, where you can donate any amount to the charities Aktivisfonden and Hugo Stiftelse. 100% of the funds raised go directly to charity.
When Does Sweden Santa Run Take Place?
Date: Sunday, December 6, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM
Location: Local meeting points in towns and cities across Sweden. Social Runs will be organized in many of the locations where Runacademy operates, and the exact meeting point will vary by location.
How far will we run?
Sweden Santa Run is not a traditional race with one shared racecourse. The format may therefore vary slightly between locations, but the distance will be between 3 and 6 km. The focus is on an accessible and social run that allows as many people as possible to take part.

Important 1:
The organizers of the event will not take out any economical benefit of the money raised since the idea of the run is to help people that need it more. After the race, each participant will get a diploma emailed to them with the result of the total money that was raised from the run, and where it went. You will also receive a medal.
